The agreement behind the app

Terms of Service

These terms describe the Sermon Studio subscription, two-Mac license, local-project promise, hosted features, and each party’s responsibilities.

Draft for owner and legal reviewLast updated August 28, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms govern the Sermon Studio website, subscription, hosted services, and macOS app. By purchasing, activating, or using Sermon Studio, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you act for a church or organization, you represent that you may accept these Terms for it.

2. The service

Sermon Studio is a native macOS production app that helps users transcribe sermon media and create documents, recaps, captions, and related production materials. Some processing occurs locally; hosted generation features require internet access and an eligible subscription. Sermon Publisher is an internal utility and is not included.

3. Trial, subscription, and renewal

  • Sermon Studio's standard prices are $29 per month or $299 per year, plus applicable taxes.
  • The first 100 Early Adopter subscriptions may choose $9 per month for the first 12 paid months or $99 for the first annual term. The offer applies only to the original continuous subscription and is not restored after cancellation and later re-subscription.
  • The subscription begins with a 14-day trial. A payment method is required, but no charge is made until the trial ends.
  • Unless canceled before the trial or billing period ends, the subscription renews automatically at the prices displayed at checkout. Monthly Early Adopter subscriptions renew at $29/month after their first 12 paid months; annual Early Adopter subscriptions renew at $299/year after their first annual term.
  • You may cancel through the customer billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals and does not delete local projects.
  • Our merchant-of-record provider handles payment processing, receipts, taxes, and payment-method updates.

4. License and devices

While eligible, the subscribing church or organization receives a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Sermon Studio for internal ministry and media-production work on up to two Macs.

You may not sell, sublicense, publish, or commercially redistribute a license key; circumvent license or device controls; interfere with security; or use the service to violate law or another person’s rights.

5. Billing failures and access

If renewal fails, the payment provider may retry and send notices. Sermon Studio provides a seven-day capability grace period from the first failed renewal. Afterward, new sermon ingestion, transcription, and hosted processing may pause until billing is corrected. Existing local projects remain available to view, edit, and export, subject to the installed app’s continued operation and compatibility.

6. Your content

You retain your rights in sermon recordings, transcripts, church materials, prompts, and other content. You represent that you have permission to process it. You grant Dominion Media and its providers a limited right to transmit and process content only as needed to provide, secure, and support the features you request. Maintain appropriate backups of your local projects and source media.

7. Generated material

Generated material may be inaccurate, incomplete, repetitive, or unsuitable. You are responsible for human review before publishing or relying on it. Sermon Studio does not provide theological, pastoral, legal, tax, or other professional advice.

8. Acceptable use

You may not distribute unlawful, infringing, deceptive, abusive, or malicious material; attempt unauthorized access; disrupt the service; automate requests that unreasonably burden it; or evade usage, billing, security, or license controls. We may contact you about unusual activity and apply reasonable safeguards needed for security, reliability, or economic viability.

9. Updates and availability

We may update, add, remove, or discontinue features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Hosted features may be affected by internet access and third-party services, and may be suspended temporarily for maintenance, security, abuse prevention, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

10. Refunds, suspension, and termination

Refund eligibility is governed by the posted Refund Policy and applicable law. Cancellation does not itself refund a completed charge. We may suspend or terminate hosted access for material breach, unlawful activity, security threats, license abuse, or nonpayment. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue.

11. Warranty disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sermon Studio is provided “as is” and “as available.” Dominion Media disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. Nothing excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dominion Media will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business interruption. Total liability arising from Sermon Studio will not exceed amounts paid for Sermon Studio during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so they apply only to the extent permitted by law.

13. Governing terms and changes

Applicable governing law and venue will be added before these draft Terms become effective. We may update these Terms and will provide notice of material changes when required.
